I went in a couple days ago, hearing from my hairdresser that this was the place to go. I had Naomi Lewis do a consultation on my face. She then did a Glow on The Go facial. She was very gentle and very good at what she did. She cared very much for my skin and gave me excellent advice on how to take care of it. Absolutely love this place. Hope you enjoy it. If not, I am sure you can find a place in your area.

When you wish upon a star.....

It's November!!! Finally time to hibernate into a mode of focusing and relaxation. Well, somewhat. Last year I didn't go out for 6 months. I stuck to my work and my studies. This year it's a little more intense than that. I have a few goals I am working towards and it is going to take a lot of my time, dedication and passion to achieve them.

1. Writing a book.
Yes, I know it sounds crazy but I have been wanting to do this for a really long time now. I can't really give to much away but here are some teasers that you may have seen before on my blog:

I have a few more pieces but nothing i can post or I will give too  much away. I am really excited about making my first steps towards my dreams and ambitions. This will be my first huge success. *does a dance*

2. Becoming a professional dancer.
I love dancing, what girl doesn't? I love acting or dressing up. I had 4 costumes for Halloween this year. A Ballerina Kitty Kat, s doll from the 1940's, a dead bride turned vampire and a ninja. I enjoyed dressing up and playing around with my creations. And last, I love music.  You can't have dancing without music. My main goal is to become a dancer for Cirque Du Soleil or like one of the girls from Nine (the musical)  .
The rush I get from expressing myself in such a way feels good. I enjoy entertaining people. I love the intensity of the music. So right now I am working towards this goal slowly. I have made a list of dance classes I will be taking.  I do yoga everyday. I work out 5x a week. And I never stray from what I want.

3. Reading 2 books a month.
Some people may think this is a piece of cake, Others might not read at all. Especially when you have a heavy work load and tons of homework. But I take 30 minutes to an hour a day to read. I read the newspaper almost everyday to exercise my brain so reading doesn't become a task. Learning new words that I hear or see each day. Broadening my vocabulary and English.

SO that's a little about what I am doing as of today. Considering it is the 1st of November, My goals start now. More to come and any feedback is wonderful. XOXOOX

Puss in boots. ;)

Fall is upon us. The weather is changing and leaves are falling. Time to retire your open toed shoes for some adventure seeking boots. I am always looking for the right one and I'm not just talking about men. For any occasion, for any time of the year and just pretty much any excuse. I love boots! I have had my eye on a couple, that my feet are craving to get into.

1. Sam Edelman : Featured in Nylon Magazine, these venturesome pair are dying to get onto someones feet. Laced up, high heel military boot goes with the season. I'm not a stylist but these can pretty much be worn with anything. Love Love Love them!!! For more info: Go to Bloomingdale's.

2. Aldo : Also featured in my favorite magazine NYLON, was this great discovery. Although I am not really a fan of Aldo shoes, these are freaking cute. Bold, fun and ready to strut, I introduce: the Vecino boot. Suede, canvas and leather, you can't go wrong. Perfect for falls rainy weather. Or just going out on the town in some black leggings, cream knee high socks and a gray sweater with a beige scarf. ;) Aldo Stores

3. Michael Kors, Stuart Weitzman, BCBG...Oh my!: I love Michael Kors shoes. They are comfortable and sexy. High heels have my name written all over them. YUM! Those extra inches of heel, give me confidence, a boost in height (I'm 5'5", so i need all the inches I can get) and that extra sex appeal and curve from behind, if you know what I mean. Stuart Weitzman, these steely-grey flannel booties... Amazing! Need I say more. I wish I could buy every single shoe and boot by Stuart but I can't. Grr... But BCBG has always been a fav. Two thin buckle straps cross over the lace-up front of an edgy peep-toe bootie with a folded, studded cuff. Check out this seductive, open toed vixen of a boot. For more info on where to buy these, go to Nordstrom. :)

I have nothing more to say then, all of these will soon be part of my shoe family. Happy boot hunting!!! And enjoy the fall season.

Flowers gone black. Not dead. Just Black.

Flowers gone black. Not dead. Just Black.

She sat there pondering, wondering if she was ever going to finish. Stumbling over her thoughts, each one tumbling out from her imagination and on to the blank pages. It was half way through the quarter and yet she still couldn't figure out what she want to write for her big paper. She had a million ideas, all very successful, but none that could quite satisfy her appetite for a good story.  Think...What would Shakespeare or Lewis Carroll do in my situation? She asked out loud. Of course, no one replied, only the silence looking back at her and her hopelessness. She sunk lower into her chair with a little more doubt than she had before, the light from the dreary day poured in through the big bay windows, the rain pitter pattering against them. At her desk was her laptop, which she used all the time. Next to it was a stack of white lined paper, unused, a cup full of #2 pencils, one red pen to correct errors and a bouquet of flowers her boyfriend bought her the day before. She was a very organized girl. Some would say she was a bit punctilious. Looking out the window towards the park, her thoughts became daydreams.
Running hand in hand with her love, to where he had laid out a blanket in the park. And awaited them was what looked like a surprise picnic. Upon the checkered white and blue blanket was a red box with a pink bow. He gestured for her to open it. Eyes smiling, she reached for the box, then suddenly pulled back in shock when it moved. Looking at him puzzled, he then guestured again for her to open it, soothing her of any doubt that it was harmful. As she reached for the box again, it jumped around like a Mexican Jumping Bean and whimpered. Confused and struggling to keep it in one place, she took the top off and out emerged a puppy. Laughing, she turned to him in such happiness, he pulled her close and kissed her. "Happy birthday darling'', he said.
Unfortunately, it was just a daydream. The reality was a little less rainbows and butterflies, or should I say puppies. He had actually forgotten her birthday. Looking at the mix of flowers sitting on her desk was only making it worse. Fultile flowers. You sit there and mock me. You're not even may favorite. She thought. Lilies were her favorite. They had been together for a year, yet he still didn't know her favorite flower. If he was blind, his behavior would have been acceptable. But this man had perfect vision. And to forget her birthday, that was whole other upsetting problem of its own. She wasn't so upset she could cry, she would have never cried for these vile flowers. But she kept them there anyway. A reminder, that love was just a myth. Passion no longer existed. Chivalry was like a music box you would find at an antique store. Hardly anyone goes in them anymore and when they did find that music box, it was worn down, paint chipping and the little ballerina inside was leaning over. It was just like the distant melody that came from that box so long ago. Romance nowadays, was watching TV on the couch on a rainy day. No more candle-lit dinners. No more pretty blue boxes from Tiffany's just to say, "I was thinking of you and thought you should have this." No more Lilies on Friday just because. Romance died along with the leaves during the crisp cold Fall. Outside, the rain came down from the sky even harder. The wind blew through the trees and people ran for shelter to get out of the blustery weather. No matter how hard she daydreamed or how many shooting stars she wished upon, her reality would be sitting at that desk, flowers mocking her and that essay staring up wondering when she would continue writing.

Grasping to find the words....

Something whispers in my ear, "Do it." Should I? Those eyes get me every time. His smile takes me back to our first kiss. Magical and serene. I can still taste him on my lips. When he speaks, it's as if I am in a trance, a lullaby capturing me in a twirling wind or love. Or is it lust? No... Lust wouldn't make you feel like this. Would it? Again, I hear that voice, "Do it. Tell him." I go to open my mouth but I must have lost my words somewhere within my thoughts. He looks up from his coffee, black, no sugar. His eyes on me now. Those eyes. I can feel them undressing me. Touching me.... He smiles again. We both can feel it. Or can he just hear the butterflies fluttering around in my stomach? My heart pounding. Thump, thump, thump. I look away, blushing. Trying not to act coy. But I am caught. He ask is everything okay. I smile, reassuring him that I am fine. Reassuring myself that he feels the same way. He puts his hand over mine, stares into my eyes, and says the words I have been dying to say for weeks now. "I love you."

I was sitting waiting wishing That you believed in superstitions....

Sorry I haven't been writing much on my blog. I have a lot of good stuff written out that I am going to be posting soon. Just been super busy with school, work and my 5 pets. Yes, 5... I have two new addition to my family. Two goldfish I rescued/stole from a Goldfish Race that was held at a bar full of drunk people. Yikes!!! I wanted to steal them all, but I could only smuggle two. So now I have one dog, two cats and two goldfish. What next you ask? Hmmm maybe a bird. Or a bunny. Hahaha, just kidding you silly wabbit. ;) Anyways, I have been extremely busy with school. Ballroom, Drawing/ Sketching, French 1, and Creative Writing. It's exhausting. I know. To keep up with my exciting life. But I enjoy being productive and living it the way I choose and at my pace. It's refreshing. Well, I must go back to studying. Hope you guys have an amazing day. More to come soon. Hugs and Kisses. XO

Scrub-a-dub-dub....

Why Laundry Mats are 10 times better than your regular at home washer and dryer.
  1. If you have a large amount of garments that need to be washed, then it is logically easier to take them to the laundry mat and get it down all at once.
  2. It takes less time to get it all done.
  3. It's a great place to people watch, catch up on your homework assignments or indulge in that book you have had no time to read.
  4. There are a lot of cute college guys who you can occasionally get a glimpse of. (Also cute college girls, such as myself. *wink*)
  5. If you just moved into a new place like I just did then, chances are you have a shitty washer/dryer. Most of the time. Or you don't have one in your unit and the laundry room is always occupied by your neighbors clothes. I can load up to a few garments, at a time, which takes way to long to wash and dry, and is crap for how much I pay for rent. Boo on that.
  6. It normally takes up to 2 hours for 1 cycle of clothing to finish at home. Where as it takes 45 minutes to an hour at the laundry mat. Did I mention it takes less time to get it all done?
And so, this is my theory on why laundry mats are better. This is my opinion and you can agree or disagree. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Good advice: If you need change for parking, this is the best place to get it. Enjoy.
